1st Year Centre Singles
New Bowler Nicky Third transferred from Auckland 2nd in First Year Singles with Four Wins. John Parker finished with Three Wins.
There were only 2 players to win all four games. G. Brooks from Leigh won.
In the Ladies there were no Four winners. Christine Mcintyre did the Club proud and came 4th overall.
FOURS RESULTS
Day one saw Eight Mens teams & 6 Ladies.
Ladies Finals day saw Wendy Sajeants team (2 Lives) play Kitty Colliar’s team in the provisional final. – Kitty winning to force another final. Wendy’s team winning on an extra end. “PS – Christine Lineham will probably name all players involved,”
Mens Finals day saw Allan Stebben’s team (1 Life) play Colin Neal’s team to reach the final. Won by Allan’s team. Bruno Barneta’s team had the bye. In the final Bruno’s team got off to an exceptional start to take the title.
Junior Champion Pairs
A good field of both Women & Men’s Pairs played over two days in windy conditions.
Winners for the Women were Christine Lineham & Elaine Hamber (Two Lives) over Helen Bailey & Fran Waterhouse.
Men’s Winners were:- Terry Mathews & Kevin Thomlinson (Two Lives) over Brian Symons & James Emslie in a very tight match
